Daily Shift View
Introducing Daily Shift View: A new page designed to streamline daily schedule management. Schedulers can now view shifts by position and category (day, evening, night), easily drag employees to appropriate shifts, monitor projected hours, and expand the date range for better planning. This view focuses on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in scheduling, aiming to improve workforce management.
The Daily Shift View is available with the Scheduling subscription and can be found under Actions > Scheduling > Daily View.

Manage Census by Floor/Unit for Enhanced Budgeting
This release introduces the ability to segment census data by floor or unit, enabling precise shift budget calculations.
Posting Shifts Enhancements
As part of Empeon's advanced scheduling module, schedulers can post open shifts to ESS, enabling employees to conveniently select open shifts that suit them. With this release we added the ability for the scheduler to see the details of when a shift was posted, as well as the ability to unpost shifts.
Over Budget Schedule Restrictions
Enhancement: Restrict Over Budget Schedules. Companies can now activate a feature to prevent the assignment of employees to shift patterns that would exceed budget limitations. This 'Over Budget' setting is accessible under 'Company' > 'Scheduling' > 'Scheduling Rules'
Automate Taxes With the New "Tax Map" Feature
A few months ago, we launched the beta version of the Tax Map feature, designed to simplify the tax withholding selection process, particularly for clients handling multi-state and local tax complexities.
When enabled, Tax Map automatically sets the relevant tax codes in the employee's profile based on their home and work addresses.
Initially, Tax Map was only available in the Employee Self-Onboarding module. Now, its functionality has been expanded. The automation runs when manually adding a new employee, updating an employee's home address, or changing an employee's work location.
Managing multi-state and local tax withholdings can be a challenging task. Our goal is to automate this process.

Complete Tasks On Behalf of the Employee
Paths is a powerful feature that streamlines workflows and improves productivity by allowing you to create customized task series for your employees. In the latest update, we have introduced an update that allows admins to complete tasks on behalf of employees. This is particularly useful in scenarios like when an employee is assigned a task to upload a document but has already sent it to the admin. The admin can now upload the document on behalf of the employee, automatically marking the task as completed.
Payroll Compare Enhancement
The Payroll Compare feature enables users to compare the current preprocess payroll with previous payrolls. Previously, this comparison only encompassed employees who were paid in the current payroll. However, with this new update, the comparison now also includes employees who were part of the previous payroll, even if they are not present in the current payroll.
DBA is Now Displayed in the Company Navigator
Now the DBA is fully displayed in the Company Navigator. Previously it was only displayed upon hover.
Document Builder Enhancements
Field Completion Aligned with Document Layout
Now, document field completion is based on the actual placement of fields within the document. This change ensures a more natural and intuitive flow for filling out documents, aligning with the physical layout of the document.
Copy Document Folders to Multiple Companies at Once
Now users can copy a folder to multiple companies at once. Prior to this release the user would need to copy to one company at a time.
Added a Separate Permission for Viewing Employee Documents
We added to Security Roles the option to block users from viewing any documents attached to an employee's profile.
General Ledger Updates
GL Conditions Based on W2 vs. 1099
We added the ability to build GL conditions based on W2 employees vs. 1099 contractors
GL Report for Multiple Companies in One File
Now the GL exports can be set to run for multiple companies in one file.
Option to Calculate GL based on Current Cost Center
Users now have the option to calculate the GL based on the employee's current Cost Center. This is useful in the event that the cost center recorded with payroll was wrong or missing. To calculate GL go to Company > Payroll > General Ledger > Calculate.
Filter for Agency vs. Employee
Users can now filter the employee lists by Employee vs. Agency Employee. The field name is "Employment Category".
Auto Approve Option for Taxes Request & Approval
We added the "Auto Approve" option to the Taxes Request & Approval settings. When auto approve is on, employee change requests will be automatically approved and will not require a manual approval.
Pay History Clear All
We added a clear all so users can easily clear all selected checks in the employee pay history card.
Benefits Module Updates
Benefit Offers Report
For clients tracking benefit offers in Empeon, we added a live report for viewing and exporting the offers details. The report can be found under Reports > Live Reports > Benefits > Employee Benefit Offers.
Event No Longer Required when Recording an Offer
With this release, when manually recording an offer in an employee's profile, or when importing offers, the event field is no longer required.
Enrollment History View Update
In the employee's Benefit Enrollment card there is a section to view Enrollment History. We added now two columns to the view: "Rule Effective Date" and "Contribution Amount Override".
Duplicate Deduction Not Allowed
With this update, the system will prevent setting up duplicate active deduction codes in an employee's profile.
401K Match Annual Cap
With this release we add an option for an annual cap for 401K match.
Enhanced Year-end Processing Wizards
We have implemented numerous updates to the Year-end W-2 and ACA processing wizards. These improvements are intended to enhance the user experience significantly.
