Import approved time off into payroll batch
In our last release we included Time Off requests, which employees can submit and employers can approve. Now, you can import those approved requests directly into Payroll, so that employees are paid for their Time Off and the time is deducted from their accrual banks.Report Updates
Cross-company reporting
Live reports - users can now include multiple companies within one report. Simply preview the desired report, add the additional companies you want to include in the report, and click “Apply changes”. Users can select any additional company to which they have report access to.
Additional report updates
- Users can now export live reports in CSV format.
- Additionally, scheduled live reports can now be set to run in CSV format. Users can add custom file names as well.
ESS Updates
Employees viewing, editing, and adding direct deposit information
Employees can now manage their own direct deposit information. The direct deposit section in ESS is found under Profile > Pay Info.
As with all updates performed by employees, the direct deposit changes are included in the request lists where employers can review, approve or deny the updates.
As with all ESS items, employers can manage the employee permissions for editing direct deposit as well as the assignees responsible to approve employee direct deposit update requests. This is found under Actions > ESS Admin > Request Setup > Direct Deposit.
Employees adding and editing profile photo
Employees can now add and edit their profile photo in ESS.
Enter 3rd Party Sick Pay
In many cases, the taxable and tax amount of 3rd party sick pay, such as disability payments, needs to be recorded in the system, for W2 purposes and for employer tax purposes. To enter 3rd party sick pay, navigate to the main payroll page and click on “New 3Pty batch”. This will add a payroll batch in which the 3rd party sick pay can be recorded.
Split pay entry lines into a separate check
Users can now easily move pay entry lines from one check into a separate check. To do so, simply select the desired pay lines and click on the Split icon found on the bottom right corner of the pay entry grid.
To split a single pay entry line into a new check, users can select the pay entry line menu and click “Split to new check”
Global employee search
A new search tool has been added, with which you can search for information while in one company and see results from any company within your organization to which you have access. Search by Employee Name, ID or SSN.
Quick and easy navigation to employee pay history
A new access point for Pay History and Manual check has been added, to make navigation easier.
Notification about login from a new device
As an added security feature, the system will now let you know if your account was accessed from an unrecognized/new device. This works for both Empeon Workforce and Empeon ESS.
Additional Misc. updates
Deduction allocation
A new cost center allocation option was added to the employee deduction card. Now you can allocate specific deductions to specific cost centers.
Reprint check log
Now when reprinting a check from the employee pay history card, it will be logged and displayed.
Estimated Annual Salary in Rate edit
Added the estimated annual salary to the default rate edit window.
Docs are now grouped by date
Updated the docs section to be neatly grouped by check date.
Bug fixes
- Fixed: Live reports for the employee training card was erring out. This is now fixed.
- Fixed: The rate field on the new hire screen only allowed for 2 decimals. It now allows 6 decimals.
- Fixed: in some scenarios if an employee has a period in their name, the name was not displayed properly. This is now fixed.
- Fixed: Comment field in pay entry will trim more than 50 characters instead of giving an error.
