Introduction
Paths is a feature that allows for the creation of customized task sequences for employees, managers and Users to complete. These tasks can encompass various activities, such as watching a video, uploading a document, or reviewing and/or signing documents relating to company policies. After a Path has been sent, it is important to ensure that employees review and complete the Path within a timely fashion. This article explains how to monitor the status of a Path after it has been sent and manage instances where tasks are completed incorrectly or are taking too long to finish.

1. Navigate to the Actions Tab.
2. From the lefthand menu, select Paths Share.
3. Any Path that has been sent to employees will be listed on this screen outlining when it was sent, the total employees that it was sent to, and how many of those employees have completed it.
4. To review the recipients of the Path and their completion status, click on "View Results".
The system will then present a review screen showing the names of the employees that the Path was sent to and options to manage the Path for those employees.
There are three possible statuses that an employee could have:
- Completed = All tasks within the Path have been completed.
- In Progress = Some tasks have been completed.
- Pending = No tasks have been completed.
5. To filter employees by their completion status, use the filters along the top row of the screen to narrow down the list and display only those with a specific status.
6. If an employee does not have an email address recorded on their file, you will receive a warning for a "Missing email address" indicating that the employee did not receive the Path invitation.
7. If employees are taking too long to complete the Path, send a reminder by clicking the "Send Reminder" button. This will send a follow-up email to employees with a Pending status.
8. If the Path needs to be canceled for whatever reason, click the button labeled "Cancel Pending". Please note that this will not delete the Path for employees who have already completed it, only for those who have not.
9. For employees who have completed the document, a "View Details" button will be available. Select this button to view the status of each task that was assigned to the Path.
Ultimately, this screen provides a comprehensive overview of the Paths' recipients and the completion status of each employee. From this screen, the capability to manage the Path after it has been sent by sending reminders or canceling the Path if necessary, helps to ensure the assigned tasks are being attended to promptly.
View Details
Viewing the individual progress of a Path can be helpful when there are employees who have a status of "In Progress" because it can show which tasks have been completed and which tasks are still outstanding. This can also aid in verifying completed tasks, by ensuring documents were signed, acknowledgments were made, and documents were uploaded accurately.
This can be viewed by either going to the employee's profile, or selecting "View Details" from the Path Share screen. From here, each task assigned within the Path can be viewed to see its completion status. Completed tasks will display in green as either "Completed" or "Acknowledged," depending on how the task was configured. Tasks that are still outstanding will be displayed in orange as "Pending."
For tasks requiring a signature or document upload from the employee, there is an option to "View" what was entered. If any discrepancies or issues are found after reviewing the tasks, the three-dot menu can be selected to re-open the task. This action changes the task status from "Completed" to "Pending" and sends an email notification to the employee that the task was reopened, requiring them to complete the task again.
Email: Action Required
This will be what the email looks like for the employee when a task is reopened.
Editing an Existing Path
In some cases, an existing Path may need to be edited. For example, a task that includes a company document might be outdated and require updating. To edit or delete an existing Path, use the three-dot menu next to the respective Path for these options.
Editing a Path will automatically update it within any Onboarding Template where the Path is assigned. This eliminates the need to have to also edit the Onboarding Template. In some cases when trying to delete a Path, it may not work if the Path has already been sent. In this case, it is suggested to edit the Path and rename it to "Do Not Use" if it cannot fully be deleted.
